China's Fifth FTA Implemented and Foreign Trade Enterprises Gain Substantial Benefits

Related foreign trade enterprises will gain the signed preferential certificates of origin under China-New Zealand free trade agreement as of October, and foreign trade enterprises holding the certificates will have tariff duties discount varying from 1% to 10% when imported countries pass the Customs.
Under the provisions of circular letter [2008] No.654 released by National Bureau of Quality Inspection, disease inspection organizations at all levels kick off to sign and issue certificates of China-New Zealand origin beginning October 1, which is the fifth Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to be implemented in the wake of ¡°China-ASEAN¡±, ¡°China-Chile¡±, ¡°APTA¡±, and ¡°China-Pakistan FTA¡±. The FTA exerts positive functions in lowering cost of Chinese products and enhancing international competitiveness of goods. Jiangsu Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced that those products applied for the rules of the FTA and signature handling procedures will gain the preference, and foreign trade enterprises should make full use of the policy.
