Established
in 1963, Shanghai Urban Construction Design & Research Institute has
China’s Grade A design qualification of municipal public works and Grade A
qualification of engineering geological reconnaissance mainly specializing
in urban infrastructure construction, and is a reconnaissance, design and
research institute owning the qualifications of building, engineering
survey, city planning, engineering construction surveillance, scientific
and technical consultation. The institute has more than 250 experts of
whom 70 are senior engineers. Since establishment, the institute has
fulfilled nearly 4,000 design and reconnaissance items, and undertaken a
number of large-scale engineering projects representing the symbolic
achievements of urban construction. |

be established by Shanghai Municipal Government, which concentrates
engineering construction, management, design and supply of materials as an
integration, owning the special class qualification of general contracting
construction of municipal public works, the first-class construction
qualification of the projects concerning highway, housing, airport, urban
rail traffic and contracting right of foreign projects, being the largest
enterprise group in municipal field in China, and ranking 9th among
China’s civil engineering enterprises. The projects undertaken by it are
