Founded in October 1991 by the Government of Shanghai Municipality, the Shanghai Foreign Investment Service Center (SFISC) is aimed at improving investment climate in Shanghai and promoting the opening-up of Shanghai and the development of Pudong New Area. Under the leadership of Shanghai Foreign Investment Commission, SFISC provides whole-course, multi-level and efficient services for overseas investors.
In 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001 and 2003, SFISC was successively awarded the Reputable Consulting Enterprise (Organization) of Shanghai by Shanghai Technology Commission and Shanghai Consultant Association. Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC awarded SFISC the Most Improved IPA in Asia-pacific area, the Best Secondary Investment by an IPA and the Best IPA in Attracting R&D Investment for the year 2003.
