Function: Shanghai Association of Foreign Economic & Trade Enterprises is a Shanghai based industry organization which takes Import and Export Enterprises as the main body.

Goal: To provide service for members; safeguard the legal rights and interests of members; Provide channels for the communication between members and governmental organs. Promote the development of foreign trade.

Department Configuration:

Office:
Be responsible for the development and communication of members, financial management and internal affairs of the association. Coordinate with all departments.

Information Department:
Edit and publish messages and magazines for members, timely report guidelines, policies, laws and regulations concerning foreign economic & trade, as well as domestic foreign economic & trade movements.

Training Department:
Provide foreign trade training courses for members and all foreign economic & trade enterprises. Organize various symposiums.

Consulting Department:
Provide consulting service on economic & trade policies and laws, economic & trade business, trademark and patent registration for members.

Research Department:
Research the movement of local foreign trade enterprises, study the common issues of the industry. Reflect the calls and demands of members.

Membership Department:
Be responsible for the annual audit of foreign trade enterprises, the enrollment of members; communicate with members and provide related services.

Fair Trade Department:
Provide academic training, information communication, subject research and business consulting concerning fair trade; Investigate and organize fair trade cases such as antidumping, countervailing and foreign trade protection measures.

Work Committee of Laws:
Publicize various laws and regulations concerning foreign economic & trade, Organize works of antidumping and countervailing, provide training and discussion on legal issues concerned by enterprises and provide legal consultation.

Work committee of Trademark:
Study and research trademark laws and regulations, coordinate with trademark disputes, work cooperatively with government law enforcement department to perform anti-counterfeiting activities, support government functional departments to implement the brand strategy and recommendation and competition of established trademarks.

Work committee of private foreign trade:
Organize private foreign trade research, communicate with various governmental organs, reflect opinions and demands of private foreign trade enterprises, safeguard their legal rights and interests.

Work committee of documents:
Publicize and introduce up-to-date regulations concerning foreign exchange management, International settlements, transportation, insurance, term of payment. Organize the discussion on document reform and other activities of exchange of experience; accept consultation concerning documents.
